A LOVELY DINNER ?

11/24/2011
DEAR ABBY: Today, I was forced to go to dinner with a witty, conceited man named Benedick.  Benedick makes me sick since every time we see each other all we do is insult one another yet, I secretly love him.  I use insults in our relationship to show how I truly feel about him while still appearing unattainable.  However, today when I went to dinner, I felt strange since Benedick was thanking and complimenting me.  Seeing Benedick caring for the first time gave me hope of our relationship developing.  Unfortunately, I am not ready  to admit my love so I ran away back into my house.  Should I have stayed?-–REGRETTING LOVE IN MESSINA
DEAR REGRETTING LOVE: If you are regretting your decision, fix it.  This Benedick character might be changing his proud attitude and if you truly love him, pursue the chance to see who he truly is.  He might just be beginning to realize you are in love because you were giving mixed signals with insults.  My suggestion is to meet with Benedick again and explain to him the impression you got from what he said and what it truly meant.  You need to ensure first that Benedick is worth your time because any apprehension will cause regret.  Jumping into the water with two feet or staying on land applies to love too!

BETRAYING A FRIEND TO PROVE LOVE

11/22/2011
DEAR ABBY: There is a girl named Beatrice who I want to prove my love too.  I overheard a conversation about Beatrice requites my love.  However, based on my bachelor reputation, I had to prove my love to Beatrice before she was willing to love me back by KILLING my best friend, Claudio.  Beatrice is asking this because Claudio humiliated her cousin, Hero by leaving her at the altar and saying she was unfaithful.  Beatrice has advised me that if I do not do this for her, she could never love me.  Now I question what is more important: a friend or a wife?—PROVEN INDECISIVE IN MESSINA.
Dear Proven Indecisive: I can see you are truly in love with Beatrice.  Remember that given your reputation, this might be your only chance in finding a woman that loves you back.  Your friend Claudio does not seem like a very empathetic man if he is willing to leave Hero at the altar.  It might be in your best interest just to duel Claudio (to avoid jail).  I can guaranteed you that doing this will satisfy Beatrice’s request and in return, you will be married to her.  A hard-earned wife is a better option that an inconsiderate friend.  Follow your heart; it is the only way to ever prove your love.
